SPS/GZ’s Management Team
Mary Pat is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Equity Professional with over 25 years of experience in stock plan administration, accounting, tax form and financial reporting, SEC compliance, financial forecasting and investor relations. Before co-founding SPS/GZ, she was an auditor for a "Big Four" accounting firm and served as Financial Reporting Manager at a global software company and at a national mortgage company, where she also managed the company's initial public offering and all public-company functions, including its equity compensation plans. Mary Pat has also consulted and provided outsourcing and tax form reporting services for numerous public and private clients throughout the United States. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, NASPP and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). Mary Pat is a recognized expert in the accounting, reporting and tax aspects of equity compensation administration, as well as tax form reporting for Forms 3921/3922 (IRC 6039), Forms 1094-B/1095-B/1094-C/1095-C (Affordable Care Act – IRC 6055/6056) and Form 1099. She holds a B.S. in Accountancy from DePaul University in Chicago, IL.
Rick is a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) with more than 25 years of experience in stock plan administration and tax form reporting. He managed the stock plan administration department of a global technology company before co-founding SPS/GZ. Rick is recognized as a leader in the industry and has served on many panels related to best practices in stock plan administration and curriculum for the CEP program. He has consulted and provided outsourcing and tax form reporting services for numerous public and private clients throughout the United States. Rick is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) and a regular speaker at industry conferences and executive roundtable forums. He holds a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University.
Kathryn is a Sales and Support Manager with over 15 years of experience in Project Management and Human Resources. Before joining SPS/GZ, she worked at a growing software development firm in the Chicago area, managing the staff of 75 employees locally and 20 employees between two satellite offices on the East Coast. Kathryn worked with the sales team to effectively communicate the needs of clients and support their requests for training, software development and proposals. Kathryn’s primary role at SPS/GZ is business development and supporting clients in the tax form area, including IRC 6039 and Affordable Care Act (IRC 6055/6056). She assists with proposals, employee data verification and client support for the filing and mailing of Forms 3921, 3922, 1094-C, 1095-C, 1094-B & 1095-B. Kathryn holds a BA in Marketing from Loras College in Dubuque, IA.
